Orienteering a new outdoor Team Building activity

How did it all start?

Orienteering, originally named Orientation Run was born in Scandinavian countries, where has become a national sport. Since then Orienteering  has gained in popularity in recent years, as a meaningful tool to boosts team spirit.

Team Building Adventure

Orienteering exercises bring together both the mind and the body, with the aim being to navigate in sequence between control points marked on a map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time.

Courses can be set up over a range of distances and difficulty levels according to the ability of the group and the needs of the programme. TeamWorking can also offer fun treasure hunt events, which can incorporate other activities such as the Crazy Car Race, as well as plan and run large-scale orienteering events across the forest.

Whilst the activity is physical in nature, the routes vary in difficulty and the course can be designed to be appropriate for the fitness level and ability of the group. For teams who would like to stretch themselves further we can organise night navigation exercises and hikes. This is a popular choice for groups who wish to stay over night as we can arrange the final destination to be a local restaurant for supper or the pub for a well earned drink!

Get, Set, Go

Groups are equipped with maps, compass and GPS and receive training and a full safety briefing before setting out on the course. Instructors are on hand to assist groups during the activity.

We can offer orienteering and organise treasure hunts on multiple locations , from urban orienteering organised on the streets of every major city or orienteering in the nature.

Orienteering and treasure hunt team building challenges can be combined with the mountain biking activity.
